Routine

So I have been thinking for some time that I would like to get Tyler into a bit more of a routine. Not like where every minute of my day is mapped out to exact times but more like, up at 5/6am, play time for a bit, mid morning cat nap, then a big afternoon nap, bath, dinner, story time and bed starting at around 6pm.

I need to establish a feeding routine a bit better.  I think because he gets so tried because all he does is cat nap during the day that he constantly feeds, and I mean CONSTANTLY! Its starting to drive me bonkers.  I have no problem breast feeding but I keep thinking my milk is running out but now I think its more to do with him eating little and often.  Need to get him eating big less often.

I gave in today and put him down to sleep in his love to dream swaddle.  I was trying to keep it so he knew between night and day and nap and sleep. But for this afternoon nap I needed him to start sleeping longer and he was sleeping OK on his tummy but no more than 30mins and when his head was in the wrong position leading to his nose being a little covered I would try and move his head and that would wake him right up.  If I put him on his back his startle reflex would wake him every few seconds until he woke right up. He is now soundly asleep and it will be interesting to see how long he stays asleep for.

Hopefully doing this will mean we can get him eating a bigger meal when he eats too.  I am still trying to get him to take a bottle but thats definitely a challenge. If he feeds 4 hourly though, bf wont be a problem. Its the every hour that he is doing at the moment that will send me to the crazy house.

I can't wait for this Auction to be over.  I doubt the house will sell which is a pain in the butt because its frustrating having to keep the house clean, to have it inspection ready or to get it ready for an inspection.  We have some again this afternoon which is good because hopefully they are interested in buying it but it meant that I had to try and feed Tyler, entertain him and listen to him cry while I tried to get it all done! Very hard.

I met the Brisbane/Gold Coast/Sunny Coast girls from my September due group yesterday. They are a great bunch of girls. We managed to talk for 4 hours!!!! oops. But due to that yesterday and the inspection the day before I haven't been for a ride in two days. Seeing as we have more people having a look this arvo I don't know if I will get to go again. Very frustrating. Auction is next Sunday so not long to go!

OooOO and if I manage to get him to start taking longer naps in the afternoon like 2 hours or so I would be able to do a work out in there too some days. Boxing or weights or something.  There are the babies that will happily sit and entertain themselves but nope not Tyler.  He loves playing with his toys etc but he wants company while he does it. Wants someone to talk to. Definitely an extrovert this child.

Final thing, I definitely think Tyler is right handed.  He is already showing a clear preference for that hand. Will be interesting to see if he is.  Of course its more than likely he is, both DH and I are and so it the majority of the population but its an observation I wanted to put down anyway.
